HOT YOGA - In our stunning mountainside Safari Hot Room, you'll take part in a transformative Beginners Hot Yoga session led by our expert instructor. With more personalised attention in a small group, you'll have the space and guidance to fully immerse yourself in this unique practice, designed to challenge and invigorate your body and mind.
After your Hot Yoga session, or whenever you feel ready, refresh and recharge with a cold water plunge in our natural spring water pool. You'll be guided through various techniques to enhance the experience, and help you to feel more confident and composed in the water. The contrast between the heat and cold is an amazing way to invigorate your senses.
WELLNESS STUDIO SESSION - In our peaceful mountain-view studio, you'll enjoy a wellness session led by one of our highly skilled instructors. This session includes deeply restorative Yoga Nidra, a soothing Mini Sound Bath, and other wellness practices all designed to support relaxation and rejuvenation of both body and mind.
SNACKS AND REFRESHMENTS - Throughout the day, enjoy delicious healthy snacks and refreshing drinks to keep you nourished and energized, ensuring you feel your best during every part of the retreat.
SMALLER GROUPS
The group will be divided into two smaller groups of no more than 10, with one half focusing on the Hot Yoga and cold water contrast experience, while the other half enjoys the studio-based wellness sessions, before rotating to ensure everyone gets the full benefit of both rejuvenating aspects of the retreat.
This ensures a more personalised experience and focused instruction from our expert teachers, allowing more space and freedom in the hot yoga class.

THE PLUNGE POOL
It's the largest naturally fed plunge pool in the UK, fed by a pristine natural spring that flows from the heart of the mountain, it has a rich history of supplying local villages. Today, we're repurposing this spring water for your wellness.

❄️ Ideal Temperature: The water maintains a refreshing temperature between 5 and 12 degrees Celsius, providing the perfect conditions for cold water training.

🌊 Clean and Safe: Our pool is free from stagnation and artificial filtration, making it one of the cleanest and safest places to experience cold water therapy.

IS THIS BEGINNERS EDITION FOR ME?
We offer two versions of the retreat: the Standard Edition and the Beginners Edition, both designed to accommodate different fitness levels and experience with hot yoga.
BEGINNERS EDITION: This Beginners Edition of our Hot Yoga & Wellness Retreat is designed for those new to hot yoga or anyone seeking a gentler, more accessible experience.
This retreat offers a balanced introduction to hot yoga in a heated 40°C Safari Hot Room, with a focus on slower, floor-based poses and fewer challenging transitions.
This version still provides the benefits of hot yoga but with a focus on comfort and relaxation over intensity, so no prior experience is necessary. The cold water dip and wellness practices are the same on both versions....LEARN MORE
Whether you're just starting your yoga journey or prefer a more relaxed pace, this edition allows you to enjoy the benefits of heat therapy, increased flexibility, and gentle detoxification in a supportive environment.

STANDARD EDITION:
The Standard Edition is ideal for those with previous yogic experience or individuals who consider themselves to have a good level of general fitness.
Much like Hot classes found throughout the UK, the Hot Yoga session takes place in a room heated to 40C. However, at Mountain Yoga, you’ll get to experience the heat with our own unique twist.
You’ll be guided through a series of postures, some of which require strength, flexibility, and stamina.
This version is best suited for people who are confident in their fitness level and feel ready to take on the intensity of the hot room.
However, if you’re unsure or concerned about the intensity, we recommend considering the Beginners Edition.
“This Beginners Edition version of the retreat is also designed around the concept of Yin and Yang, balancing the intensity of the hot room and cold plunge with the deeply restorative relaxation of our studio session.
Hot Yoga is the Yang or ‘doing’ element of the retreat, whereas the studio session is about ‘being’ rather than ‘doing’. You will be invited to put aside any worries or responsibilities you may have and take time to simply be with yourself, in your body rather than your mind, relishing the peaceful energy of your surroundings.
This perfect balance of opposites—effort and ease, strength and surrender - will leave you feeling centred, revitalised, and the best possible version of yourself."

HOW FIT DO I NEED TO BE FOR THE RETREAT? * We offer two versions of the retreat: the Standard Edition for those with yoga experience or who exercise regularly, and the Beginners Edition, which features a gentler, more accessible Hot Yoga class. If you're unsure, the Beginners Edition is a great place to start.
WHAT TEMPERATURE IS THE HOT YOGA ROOM? * The Hot Yoga sessions take place in a room heated to approximately 40°C, which is the standard for hot yoga practice. This helps increase flexibility and detoxification but can be intense, so hydration and listening to your body are essential.
I’VE NEVER DONE HOT YOGA BEFORE. CAN I STILL JOIN? * Absolutely! The standard Hot yoga retreat is best suited for people who are confident in their fitness level and ready to take on the intensity of the heat and poses. If you’ve practiced yoga before and feel comfortable stepping it up, Or you know you have a good fitness level and are confident in your abilities you’ll do great. * However, if you’re unsure or concerned about the intensity, we recommend considering the Beginners Edition.
WHAT IS THE COLD WATER DIP? * After your Hot Yoga session, you'll have the opportunity to take a refreshing plunge in our natural spring water pool. This cold water therapy helps reduce inflammation, boost circulation, and balance the effects of the hot yoga session. You’ll also be guided through breathwork techniques to enhance the experience. The Cold water is optional if you are not feeling it but feel free to learn and practice the breathing techniques taught.
IS THIS FOR MEN AND WOMEN? Yes, the retreat is open to both men and women! Hot yoga is increasingly popular among men, as it promotes deeper stretching and muscle release. In fact, nearly a third of our participants are men. Everyone can benefit from the combination of invigorating hot yoga, cold water therapy, and calming wellness practices offered during the retreat.
WHAT WELLNESS ACTIVITIES ARE INCLUDED? * In addition to Hot Yoga and the Cold Water Dip, you'll enjoy a range of wellness activities in our mountain-view studio. This session includes deeply restorative Yoga Nidra, a soothing Mini Sound Bath, and other wellness practices all designed to support relaxation and rejuvenation of both body and mind.
WHAT IF I HAVE HEALTH CONCERNS OR MEDICAL CONDITIONS? * If you have any pre-existing health concerns, particularly related to heat or physical activity, we recommend consulting your doctor before participating in Hot Yoga. Please also let us know in advance so we can make any necessary accommodations.
